The definition of voltage swing is the difference between the maximum output voltage and the minimum output voltage. Maximum possible swing you can have in output is VDD-VSS, where VDD is the most positive voltage and VSS is the most negative. Often your swing is less than VDD-VSS and this depends on your circuit design.
